When it comes to researching vintage items and companies, Google isn't always the best place to gather information. Instead, old newspapers, advertisements, patent drawings, and print catalogues provide a wealth of info about the things we love and the people who invented them. Who were the inventors and the investors? How did they get into the industry and were costumers receptive? Where did they manufacture or import from (USA, UK, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, or Taiwan)? When and how did their companies go defunct? Did they fail or were they bought by a larger corporation? Some brands are still around!

As a lover of history, researching the stories behind vintage items and old manufacturing companies is one of my favorite activities. So, I'll be using this site to archive information that isn't publicly available. Hopefully it will help others when researching vintage!

Have a novelty, party goods, or holiday good manufacturer you'd like me to investigate? Send me an email or DM me on Instagram!
